Play teaches children knowledge of language systems, and the ability to interact with others. When a child plays in a pretend kitchen with pretend food, they are imitating and making sense of what they see in their world. When they take care of a stuffed animal or cover a baby with a blanket, they are learning how to take care of others. Children can learn through play and imitation. What does play look like? Play takes on so many different forms! What play does your child do? What play would you enjoy doing with your child? See below for ideas!
