Developmental Therapist
Full-time - Weekend availability a plus!
Part-time - Late afternoons, early evenings and weekends

Looking for a passionate, patient and professional DT to provide therapeutic services for children (birth through 18) with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, developmental disabilities and disorders of relating and communicating in a family-centered environment. Services are delivered in clinic-based and natural environments. Looking for a DT that is eager to provide direct services to children and families in Cook and Lake counties, as well as facilitate social groups and dyads. Experience with ASD population preferred as well as experience with a wide range of treatment strategies. Good communication skills, comfort in administering assessments and note taking, writing evaluations, providing feedback to families and school staff are responsibilities for this role. Experience in understanding sensory profiles and strategies also preferred. Crisis intervention training a plus.
Developmental Therapy Requirements: |
A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Child Development, Child Development and Family Studies, Early Intervention, or Elementary Education (Illinois State Requirement) |
Illinois Early Intervention credential a plus |
Strong knowledge of child development |
2+ years of experience |

Experience with high-tech and low-tech Augmentative Alternative Communication systems is preferred. Experience in understanding sensory profiles and strategies also preferred. Crisis intervention training a plus. Weekend and evening availability is also a plus!

Services are delivered in a clinic setting. Looking for a Clinical Assistant that is eager to provide a supportive educational environment for clients. Experience with ASD population preferred. Assisting with miscellaneous clinic needs will be required. Good communication and collaboration skills are a requirement for this role.
